XRAE Site Migrations 2023

2023 XRAE Site migrations

What is happening?

iPipeline is migrating XRAE to a new architecture that increases security and sets the stage for additional improvements.

The new version of XRAE is protected with Ping Identity®, so it is more secure and is accessible via the same methods and accounts as other iPipeline applications such as LIfePipe®, iSolve®, FormsPipe and IGO®. We are already working on our first significant enhancement to be delivered soon after all XRAE migrations are complete.

Who will be affected by the upgrade?

Current XRAE sites that are dedicated built for and dedicated to one distributor are currently hosted at URLS similar to http://agencyname.ipipeline.com.  iPipeline will be creating a new XRAE site that supports all agencies (aka multi-tenant) and leverages your iPipeline customer number, also known as a GAID, with the format of http://xrae.ipipeline.com/?GAID=####. During the transition period, this new site will operate concurrently with your existing site and even share the same case data.

Your role is to direct users to the new site rather than your old dedicated XRAE site.

When is this happening?

The new site is configured and ready to support all customers who are migrating.

What is the call to action?

To prepare for this change:

• Evaluate where you are using, linking to, bookmarking, or promoting links that include youragencyname.xrae.com in the URL.
• Identify whether you are using SSO or the iPipeline user management self-service pages (aka PipePass) for the other iPipeline applications mentioned above, to be consistent.
• If you are only making XRAE available to select back-office users today, consider opening it up to all of your agents from your agent portal. The administrative role of creating and managing users and user types will no longer be as cumbersome as it is today.
• Prepare and plan to update all URL links to your XRAE site and communicate the expectations by September 30, 2023, as the old sites will be decommissioned beginning October 2, 2023.

Let your agents know what to expect, and ask them to update their bookmarks if necessary.  Feel free to use this Sample Agent Communication to let your agents know what to expect.
