Document Authentication

This integration allows an agent to authenticate an applicant based on the applicant’s government-issued ID (such as a driver’s license). Within the iGO e-app, a user will be able authenticate on a desktop or a tablet. On a desktop, the user can send a text message (using iPipeline’s SMS service) to an applicant’s cell phone. The text message will contain a link to an interface that will capture images of the ID. On a tablet, an agent can leverage the tablet’s camera functionality and capture the images directly (note: tablet users can also use the SMS feature if they choose). Images of both the front and back of the ID are taken.

The technology authenticates the ID in a matter of seconds using holograms, watermarks, and other hidden security features contained within the ID. Carriers can include a digital image of the ID with the application’s submission.
