DTCC Fulfillment Questions Support

AFFIRM has the ability to allow carriers to configure their fulfillment questions to pass data via DTCC on the DTCC Question/Answer records (B3350 and B3351 Records).

Note for carriers that do not currently subscribe to DTCC Fulfillment Questions, must engage their Project Manager to initiate a project to subscribe to this feature.

• Added support for funding tab replacement policy questions (1035 Exchange and Qualified Policy Transfer) to be passed via DTCC APP in AFFIRM’s Spring 2019 Release.
  • Existing Funds questions are not currently supported via DTCC Fulfillment Questions processing.
• DTCC Spring 2022 Enhancement: IPS00686 – APP/SUB – Add New Field and Codes to Question and Answer Record in AFFIRM’s Summer 2022 Release.
  • This enhancement supports expanding the number of question/answer record combinations to 2,000 from the current 100 questions with 3 answers types.   Current OE platforms support multiple options including date, currency, and text freeform fields.

• • • Expand the record 33-35/50 & 33-35/51 looping occurrences to 1,999.
    • Add the following codes to the Answer Type code list (item #4421) on the Answer (33-35/51) record:
      • Date (code = D)
      • Currency (C)
      • Text (T)
    • Add new field to the Answer Record (33-35/51) titled “Text Response”

AFFIRM Question Management – Set questions that will be passed via DTCC APP

• The value entered into the DTCCQuestion ID field is what will be passed in the DTCC APP via Item # 4403
• The value entered as the Prompt will be passed in the Question Text field of the DTCC APP via Item # 4404
• Note DTCC only support Answer Types of Yes/No, multiple choice 1 answer and multiple choice multi answer via item # 4421

• Answer ID will contain the text of type of answer (this is due to the character length limitation and the likeihood that we would need to pass a currency value large than 10 characters) item # 4422 (Note Answer ID field only supports 10 characters.)
  • i.e.
    • Answer Type Y, Yes/No (boolean questions), AnswerID will be passed as Yes or No depending on the actual answer to the question.
    • Answer Type M, AnswerID will be string of the response, limited to only 10 characters
    • Answer Type D Date, AnswerID = Date
    • Answer Type C Currency, AnswerID  = Currency
    • Answer Type T Text, AnswerID  = Text
      • The actual answer/response for questions defined as Date, Currency or text will be passed in Item # 4454.
