User Roles

DocFast supports various Carrier, Distributor, and Agent user types to be created within the system so that user access can be properly allocated. The user roles that are available out-of-the-box include:

Carrier Users

Carrier users have visibility into the DocFast dashboard to track document delivery status and perform a variety of additional functions.

Note: Carrier user accounts must be setup by an iPipeline employee.

The below Carrier user roles can be configured:

• Carrier Case Manager Administrator (CCMA): Can view all documents for their Carrier.
• Carrier Case Manager (CCM): Can only view documents that are “assigned” to them upon document creation or via edit functionality.

Distributor Users

Distributor users are typically Case Managers at an Agency who are responsible for approving a document delivery before it is sent to the Agent.  These users have visibility into the DocFast dashboard to track document delivery status and perform a variety of additional functions.

Note: Distributor user accounts must be set up before a document can be assigned to them from their Carrier.  When the Distributor user receives their first document delivery they will be prompted to complete their registration before they are granted access to the dashboard.

The below Distributor user roles can be configured:

• Distributor Case Manager Administrator (DCMA): Can view all documents sent to their agency.
• Distributor Case Manager (DCM): Can only view documents that are “assigned” to them upon document creation, transferred from another Distributor Case Manager or via edit functionality.

Agent Users

Agent users fall into three different categories and are typically responsible for e-Signing or approving the document before it goes to the consumer. These users have visibility into the DocFast dashboard to track document delivery status and perform a variety of additional functions.

Note: When Agent users receive their first document delivery they will be prompted to register for an account before they are granted access to the dashboard.

The below Agent user roles can be configured:

• Career Agent (CA): Can only view documents assigned directly to them (i.e. Agent who only sells for a single Carrier).
• Independent Agent (IA): Can only view documents assigned directly to them (i.e. Agent who sells through a Distributor (BGA) and for multiple Carriers).
• Direct Writer Agent (DW): Can only view documents assigned directly to them (i.e. Agent who serves as their own Distributor (BGA)).
