Laser App Anywhere Single Sign-On (SAML/SSO) Support Overview
Laser App Anywhere supports SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) to eliminate the need for password management on the part of the end-user and administrator. Single Sign On (SSO) using SAML relies on an IdP (Identity Provider) to assert that an individual is authorized to use a given resource known as an SP (Service Provider.)
Please note that SAML authentication is only available at the Company Account level. Accounts cannot be divided between SAML users and Password users. Your institution must have an Identity Provider, a single system that knows the identity of your users, can authenticate them, and can respond to standard SAML 2.0 Authentication Requests with a SAML response. SAML is only used for authentication; user provisioning must be accomplished through one of the three provided methods (not discussed here).
For details, please read this Overview document that will explain what is required by your institution to configure SAML 2.0 with Laser App Anywhere as a service provider.
